Reach out to people and communicate

• send handwritten letters. they are incredibly unique distinction. you will 100% stand out.
  if you send out 10 letters you only need 1 to become a customer.
  letters are very distinct, maybe too over the top,
  Email is meh/okay
  DMs most ppl read but are much more informal and more easy to ignore (specially ppl with larger followings).

You can reach out to anybody really. Authors of books or posts you found value in, people that inspire you, etc... He has a list of 25 people he would try to be in top of mind by reaching out every quarter with a one way message, meaning you offer value expecting nothing in return. Like if you see the person likes to surf you can send them a vid of the best places to surf in DR.
Now if you bump into any one of these ppl, you can more easily approach them.

  • have a common restaurant to always do business meetings in, where you know all the staff and can always get reservations.
  • know what places top people go to.
  • go to events to meet people.

• 3Cs: compliment, congratulate, console

• meetings

  • be high energy in meetings
  • always follow up after meetings via email or txt. You could thank, summarize, flip things around if meeting didn't go well.

• do the unexpected, go above and beyond what everyone else does to bring a better service.

• write proper emails

  • subject line is the most important part, make it attractive.

• be a connector, connect ppl together.
